GDPR Policy
Last updated 6 November 2026. How we meet UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Data controller
SAFERIDE AIRPORT TAXIS LIMITED, the owner of the FareTaxMate tool, is the data controller for personal data processed through this site. Contact: saferideairporttaxis@gmail.com · WhatsApp 07957149727.
Registered in England & Wales: company no. 17463900. Registered office: Argyle Court, 105 Seven Sisters Road, London, England, N7 7QR.
Private hire operator licensed by City of Wolverhampton Council, operator licence no. PHOP991. Wolverhampton office: 6 Walsall Street, Bilston, Wolverhampton, WV14 0AT.
2. Lawful bases for processing
Under UK GDPR we only process your data where we have a lawful basis:
- Contract – your account details, the figures you enter and receipt photos, so we can provide the tool you signed up for.
- Contract – your plan and payment status, so we can give you the access you paid for.
- Legitimate interests – replying to support and feedback messages, and keeping the service secure.
- Legal obligation – keeping payment records required for tax and fraud prevention.
- Consent – permitted optional Meta software-purchase measurement and advertising optimisation, subject to your recorded acceptance and dataset restrictions. We never share your tax records with Meta.
Withdraw advertising acceptance through Cookie settings at any time. We retain the choice, notice version, region and timestamp, including withdrawal evidence. Global Privacy Control and refusal take precedence; we do not make automated decisions affecting your tax figures or access.
3. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access – get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification – have inaccurate data corrected (you can also edit your entries yourself).
- Erasure – have your data deleted. Use Settings → Delete my account, or email us.
- Restriction – ask us to pause processing while a concern is looked at.
- Portability – receive your figures in a usable format (your PDF exports already provide this).
- Objection – object to processing based on legitimate interests.
We respond to requests within one month. There is no charge.
4. Processors we use
- Stripe – card payments and subscriptions.
- Our hosting and database provider – storing your account, entries and receipt photos.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) – when advertising is enabled and permitted, receives software payment amount, currency, event ID and browser/network information for measurement and ad optimisation; never your tax entries, receipts or tax identifiers. Meta may process information under its own Business Tools Terms and privacy policy.
Each processor is bound by a data processing agreement. Some may process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Retention
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, your entries, receipts, settings and support messages are deleted. Payment records may be kept for up to 6 years where the law requires it.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed, every record is locked to the account that created it, and receipt photos are only viewable through short-lived private links.
7. Data breaches
If a breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we will report it to the ICO within 72 hours and tell affected users without undue delay.
8. Complaints
Please contact us first at saferideairporttaxis@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
